I came to VI late in it's conception - a team of friends had already begun to formulate their ideas for a grand Redwall club based in a vermin island before they got in touch with me, to help code it. The ideas and possibilities were so intriguing that it took a nine month long development period before it opened in 2003. It was the largest program I had ever worked on, the biggest thing I had made from scratch, and one of the first things where the design was concieved by somebody else.

The Vulpine Imperium

Scalawag, Ahoy!

The Vulpine Imperium© is a fully-interactive Redwall-based online club. Members will join ships, submit to the captain's cruel whimsy, and partake of humourous and entertaining distractions while serving, er, spending time in the club. There is a large and sprawling town wherein are found such staples as an apothecary, a bank, various shops, and a dock.

But be forewarned - failure to perform your tasks properly (or with the proper decorum!) will get you thrown in the brig. Ships can leave the port and have adventures, or stick around to help out with more domestic things. Through this all is a system of rank whereby anyone can rise to captain a ship, or become one of the five Ministers that manage the Imperium.

Citizens can earn money by submitting art, poetry, and prose to the national gallery, trading with their fellows, or by a stroke of luck at the casino. That money can flow away, though, into dueling equipment or a corporation, into a mansion or entrepreneurial endeavour. May the the blessings of His Grace the Emperor tumble down upon you like a golden fog.
